Reflection

Course N307 Reflection

Preface

The following report is my own reflection on N307 course learning outcomes. The reflection report opens a window were students are not only allowed to feed back their educational faculty on the progress they made or gained by attending this course, but it also gives the students the opportunity to echo-back their comments with regard to the course learning outcomes so it could be upgraded or amended if deemed necessary.

Skills

The number of reports that were required during the course has improved my writing and reading skill to a great extent. I had to read and research a load of books, newspapers articles, and visit several web-sites in the process of preparing and completing the assigned projects.  Doing so has helped me to recognize and experience different writing pattern and assisted me in reflecting the same on my assignments. Furthermore, I have improved my supervision skills simply by acting as a team leader in the groups that were formed to complete the above mentioned assignments. Such role required me to allocate certain tasks taking into consideration team member’s abilities and ensure that they are completed in a satisfying and timed manner.

Such skills will come handy in the real world of business. In today’s working environment people who have such abilities are always viewed as great assets and they are one step closer to secure a position and excel in their fields.

Communication Challenges

The biggest challenge was always my ability to deliver. Meeting deadlines and achieving goals require clear and to the point communication especially when a certain message is to be crossed. By engaging in the roles that I had in order to meet the learning outcomes in the fields of meeting, job interview, and the writing of a business letters, I had a sense of security that if faced with such future challenges I am fully prepared.
